The Summer issue got spicy with a jambalaya recipe from Red Beans Bayou Grill in Wichita.

Some of the other Cajun/Creole places that will help you spice up your palette are the Hibachi Hut in Manhattan. Since 1959 the restaurant has cooked it's fare on a hibachi. The hibachi may no longer be there but the flavors remain.  You can pick your favorite hot sauce to add to your dish. There is a large assortment of these colorful bottle along the wall.

The Spring issue showcases some of the artistic and tasty treats that come in a cupcake! They almost look too good to eat. Almost.

The recipe featured in Spring was from Daddy Cakes in Topeka. Their red velvet cupcake recipe should be topped off with this cream cheese frosting recipe

Enjoy!

The winter issue features a wonderful recipe from WheatField's Bakery and Cafe in Lawrence. The imagery of breads, quiche and a mouth-watering coffee cake will make you want to fire up the oven and fill the house with the scent of fresh baked goodies!

The bonus recipe this time comes from a back issue of KANSAS! in 1985. Good food is timeless and so is this recipe!
